Does anyone else have this problem? Our Labrador snores like a drunk Frat boy. I’ve put pillows over my head, used high tech earplugs, invested in white noise machines and adjusted his head as he sleeps. No relief.
Although they don’t have a dog sized bed yet, Starry Night™ Sleep Technology has solved the snoring problem with out resorting to violence.
It is the first “smart” bed that incorporates diagnostic tools to alleviate snoring via a vibration detection system that also monitors body movements and rhythmic breathing patterns over each 30 day period. The mattress has temperature settings that range from 68 to 117 degrees.
When snoring is detected, the bed automatically raises the mattress up by 7 degrees to elevate the head to stop the offensive noise. When the snoring subsides, the bed returns to its original position.
Each morning, you can wake up and review your sleep pattern and receive suggestions on a bedside monitor called the Good Morning Screen. Sounds very 2001: A Space Odyssey.
If you use your bed for more than just sleeping (and who doesn’t work out a little angst between the sheets) the bed comes equipped with a surround sound system, a headboard projector, internet connectivity and wireless RF remote, ipod docking station and DVR capability. It has disk storage for nearly 400,000 songs or up to 2000 hours of video.
We may have to get two – one for the dog and one for us.
