The ultimate in luxury living - MI4M

Good Karma

The Fisker Karma - Destiny never looked so good.I’ve had many love affairs and they generally don’t last very long. Each season when auto manufacturers come out with new models, I dump my current infatuation and find love all over again. A nasty habit for a woman and I really don’t have much to say for myself, except, “Will you look at this new hottie?”

Last week while reading EcoFabulous, I stumbled upon The Fisker Karma. It’s so beautiful, I’m not sure I need to write anymore than: it totally rocks.

To start, the Karma has great genes. Henrik Fisker, no design slouch, has created some of the world’s most beautiful cars including the Aston Martin DB9 & V8 Vantage and his most recent stunners the Tramonto and Latigo CS.

The Fisker Karma is a four-door plug-in hybrid sports sedan with drool-worthy styling and laudable environmental practices that should put the entire automobile industry on notice. A self-contained climate control system through a full-length solar roof helps charge the car and provide cooling for the interior. Wood trim on the Karma is sourced from non-living trees.

Developed exclusively for Fisker Automotive by Quantum Technologies, the Fisker Karma uses Q-DRIVE plug-in hybrid technology. A fully-charged Karma burns no fuel for the first 50 miles. Exceeding that range, the car operates as a normal hybrid vehicle. Under certain conditions, it is possible to average a whopping 100 mpg. A clean conscience and a sassy ride.

Only 7500 Karma sedans will be available in 2010, with deliveries starting at the end of this year.

Love is waiting for me in the front seat of that car and this time, I promise to be faithful.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

PRICE: $87,900 – $106,000
AVAILABILITY: Taking deposits now for a Q4 2009 delivery
